Job Summary:
This role leads the expansion of our platform business by advancing our ecommerce capabilities and building a dynamic marketplace that provides iPEC graduates—and the broader coaching community—with the highest‑quality tools and services to support their goals and aspirations.
Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this leader will play a pivotal role in scaling a multi‑million‑dollar revenue stream and shaping the future of our digital ecosystem.
Success in this role requires close collaboration with our technology, user experience, curriculum, and leadership teams to ensure we deliver exceptional products, seamless experiences, and meaningful value to our graduates and the coaching community at large.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversee and advance the e‑commerce strategy and marketplace growth, with a focus on revenue expansion, site experience, customer retention, and conversion optimization.
• Lead all day‑to‑day operations of the graduate e‑commerce and marketplace ecosystem, including product launches, site merchandising, inventory coordination, and promotional planning.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing to ensure site content and storytelling align with brand vision, campaign priorities, digital traffic strategies, and both paid and organic performance initiatives.
• Partner with technology and user experience teams to design, enhance, and optimize digital experiences, funnels, and marketplace functionality to drive revenue growth, strengthen retention, and deliver an exceptional experience for graduates.
• Oversee e‑commerce and marketplace reporting and analytics, translating performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging customer trends, and platform innovations to inform strategy and maintain a leading market position.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in e‑commerce, directory, or marketplace management, ideally with exposure to the coaching industry.
• At least 5 years of team leadership or management experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced proficiency with Shopify, HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and a strong understanding of broader digital marketing tools and trends.
• Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, improving conversion performance, and enhancing the overall online brand experience.
• Strong analytical capabilities complemented by a refined creative sensibility.
• Highly collaborative, proactive, and exceptionally organized, with the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced, startup‑oriented environment.
• Cross‑functional influence — ability to lead without authority and align diverse teams around shared goals.
• Marketplace strategy development — ability to define long‑term vision, pricing models, partner strategy, and growth roadmap.
• Vendor and partner management — experience negotiating with third‑party providers, content creators, or platform partners.
• Financial acumen — comfort with forecasting, budgeting, P&L insights, and revenue modeling.
• Entrepreneurial mindset — comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and building from scratch.
• Exceptional communication — clear, persuasive written and verbal communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Problem‑solving agility — ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• High accountability and ownership — takes initiative and drives outcomes independently.
